Galena is a mineral that belongs to the sulphide group (that is, a combination of sulfur with an element or a radical). Vanadinite is a mineral discovered in Mexico in 1801 by the Spanish professor A.M. del Río. The name vanadinita is to contain high amount of the element vanadium. Vanadium is a chemical element (matter consisting of atoms of the same class) of atomic number 23 (that is, each atom has 23 protons) from the periodic table of elements. This mineral has been found in Mexico, Spain, Scotland and Morocco among others.
