MINERALOGY: The hydrothermal origin is formed in granitic pegmatite solution when magma is sufficiently enriched with beryllium, are usually found large crystals of morganite along with quartz and feldspar, sometimes found in secondary deposits and alluvial deposits such as gravel compacted. Morganite is a beryllium pink due to lithium and the manganese unlike other varieties of beryllium (ciclosilicato of beryllium and aluminum) prismatic habit morganite is not very long, if not rather flattened or almost tubular.

MYTHOLOGY: The morganite is named after the american financial J.P. Morgan, a passionate gemologist who donated his extraordinary collection to the American Museum of Natural History. When there are small amounts of iron inside, morganite can acquire a yellow hue apricot.
