MINERALOGY: Hydrothermal origin, aragonite found in cracks and crevices of the rock. It is also how conglomerate in hot springs, as well as inorganic precipitation of calcium in surface waters. Among the varieties of the aragonite flos-ferri emphasizes the call (iron flower), which resembles a coral. With the passage of time becomes aragonite calcite.

MYTHOLOGY: Usually the miners called the aragonite iron flower, because it was often found in deposits of this metal. In Slovakia there is a whole cave formed aragonite, call the cave of aragonite Ochtinská. This cave is declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
