ZOISITE WITH RUBY

CRYSTAL SYSTEM: Trigonal / Rhombic.

CLASS MINERAL: Zoisite.

CHEMICAL FORMULA, MINERAL ELEMENTS: Ca2Al3 (SiO4) 3 (OH) silica, aluminum and calcium.
 
HARDNESS: 6.5 - 7 on the Mohs scale.

FIELDS: Tanzania.

 

MINERALOGY: Natural fusion ruby ​​and zoisite crystals in a single specimen, green zoisite with black hornblende inclusions and large rubies, auqnue these mostly opaque.

 

MYTHOLOGY: It was discovered in 1954 in Tanzania. It is also known as aniolita, a name derived from the word "green" in the native language of the Massai. The oisite with ruby ​​is a gemstone found only in Tanzania.
